War W/ Iran: The Perfect Storm Rises??

Saturday, January 21st, 2012

In 1979, radical Muslim clerics led a revolution to overthrow the Shah of Iran.  The American embassy was overrun and its staff were held hostage until President Reagan’s January, 1981 inauguration.  Shiite Persian Iran became pro-West as British and American companies developed their oil industry. The Ayatollahs rejected Western modernism and capitalist economics. The new extremist theocracy once in control, sought to dominate the oil-rich Middle East.  Although Sunnis, the Assad family-ruled Syria partnered with Iran.      Iran fought a 10 year stalemate with US-backed Saddam Hussein’s Sunni Iraq.  Syria invaded democratic Lebanon and supported Hezbollah’s terrorist attacks on Israel.  They took advantage of the PLO’s inept leadership to fund Hamas terrorists to gain control of the Gaza area.  They fund Muslim Brotherhood terrorists in North Africa.      Iranian President Ahmadinejad professes to believe in a Shiite end-time prophetic Armageddon struggle necessary to usher in the messianic rule of the Mahdi.  He denies the Nazi Holocaust and expresses a desire to drive the Jews into the Mediterranean Sea.  The radical Taliban outlasted the Soviets; they will enter Kabul again, and threaten Pakistan as well.  Ill-conceived, post-war Iraq has a Shiite-government that now threatens its Sunni minority.  Radical Muslim influence permeates the Near East from Turkey across North Africa to the Arab states. Then there is the threat of Iran’s nuclear program.  Does a country so rich in oil seek nuclear power as an energy source or to produce a weapon of mass destruction?  Is Iran a threat to America?        Israel and Arab Gulf states recognize the threat.  Talk about strange bed fellows.  Radical Islam would annihilate the state of Israel, but also sweep the Sunni monarchs and sheikhs away in a bloodbath as well.  The Bush Administration started economic sanctions against Iran to force an end to its nuclear program. President Obama has continued and tightened those efforts. The EU is on board to bring down the theocratic regime.  China, Japan, and South Korea are meeting with Gulf leaders to discuss “supply guarantees” if they join the US-led effort. If one questions the reality of the power of the CFR and the need for military industrial complex enemies, witness the unusual geo-political perfect storm this election year.  Obama, Muslim fathers- influenced and dove-wing Dem, is preparing for war and with it guaranteed re-election; while the GOP candidates (minus the anti-Establishment Ron Paul) trip over each in their commitment to involve America in a third Middle East war. Iran may be a threat to civilization, but US involvement in regime change has a terrible track record.

NeoCons and War W/ Iran

Friday, December 23rd, 2011

There is coming a day conservative friends and Christian Believers when all your faith in the GOP will be shattered to the extent mine was in the Democrat party long ago when Ronald Reagan appeared on the scene.  “Southern” Democrat once meant something, but then the party of Jefferson & Jackson devolved into the party of radical feminism; extended sodomite rights;  supported murder of unborn children; and keynesianism, socialism, and at times Marxism.  Now, thanks to entities both national and global, both parties have been infiltrated w/ policies destined to end our Republic as we know it. It can become no more than another province in a new fascist world order.  So-called NeoCons belong in great numbers to the Council on Foreign Relations which is integrated further into the Military Industrial Complex.

GOP friends, study these terms these entities– for they spell the doom of our Republic as we knew it.

Donald Trump, a little over a week ago proposed a scenario I had already pondered.  President Obama w/ MIC and neo-Con pressure could launch a war on Iran w/i a year and then win re-election.  The public will not vote out a sitting president in the midst of war.  And even if this prophecy does not come to pass, every GOP nominee besides Ron Paul supports incremental pressure on Iran up to and including bombing to stop production of a supposed nuclear weapon.  The party doesnt matter, the MIC has moved on from Iraq and is targeting Iran as the next US enemy in the crosshairs.

I am not debating whether Iran wants a weapon or not. I am completely in favor of Israel defending their integrity in the regional matter.  My goal here is to enlighten Americans on the dangers of blind interventionism.  Since 1950, the US has engaged in various conflicts which have little to do w/ our well-being, or were started on fabricated evidence.  The conflicts drag on with poor strategies to win or withdraw.  Research these entities and make informed decisions.  The day is coming when the only alternative will be a third-party ; but it must be popularly supported on a vast scale…

Obama’s Pals Hate War Policies

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

Candidate Obama made brash promises to end the war in Iraq, finish the war in Afghanistan, and close GITMO immediately. BUT, President Obama has found each of these more difficult to accomplish.  If you read previous articles here, you see the mixed feelings on Iraq I now have.  Was it necessary to dismantle al-Qaeda?  Probably not. The world should be glad Saddam is dead and his sons as well.  But if a Shiite dominated Iraqi govt tilts toward Iran, that is not good.  GITMO should be closed, but only after every ounce of intel is drained from its prisoners and then all are executed by firing squad or public hanging.  The war in Afghanistan was the Dems’ and the president’s “acceptable” war–  the home of the Taliban Radical Muslims who allowed al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden refuge and training facilities.

But, if the primary mission was to topple the Taliban regime,  destroy al-Qaeda as a viable terrorist organization,  and kill bin Laden and his lieutenants responsible for the September 11 attacks,  then let’s get the bulk of the troops out- declare victory- and use special ops and air power to finish off bin Laden.  al-Qaeda has been disrupted been it has not been eradicated, they will continue to recruit and plan ops around the world.  bin Laden has been in the crosshairs several times dating back to the Clinton years, but he continues to exists.

Why doesn’t Obama, the Far Leftist ideologue, end these wars?  His Leftist friends who helped him win the White House loathe the Military and our nationalist patriotism to a country they see as meddling, selfish, racist,  and evangelically patronizing.  The answer I am beginning to see is difficult to comprehend.  It is like an enormous puzzle that we watch as pieces are dropped into place.  It is impossible to know everything that goes on in countless governmt agencies and private organizations, but there seems to be two powerful groups working toward the single goal of ruling the US outside the boundaries set by the Constitution.   Although they work from opposite poles, their ideologies often overlap.

The thesis is this, and time will tell:  The Far Left Marxists-Socialists ideologues control vast areas of the Democrat Party; in Academia; and the Mainstream Media.  Through our schools, universities, local urban governments, state legislatures, and Congress, the Leftist domestic agenda proceeds incrementally.  It began in theory with the Wilson administration and gained influence w/ FDR’s New Deal w/ the onslaught of the Great Depression.  LBJ’s Great Society furthered the process and no one has had the guts to derail it since (though Reagan tried harder than all the others).  But when the candidate of the Left gains the White House (since the Cold War), they too run head-on into the neo-Fascist Military Industrial Complex.  Regardless of the party in power in the White House, the MIC reigns supreme in US foreign policy decisions.

The US defeated Mexico in 1 1/2 yrs; Spain in 90 days; finished off the Kaiser in 1 1/2 yrs; and defeated the Nazis and Japan in less than five yrs.  Since then (after Eisenhower warned of this entity’s sinister influence), we fought North Korea to a draw; could not “save” South Vietnam or Cambodia;  and left Saddam in power after he invaded Kuwait, gassed innocent people, and threatened to kill the President.  The MIC needs an enemy, a boogie man to scare Americans into accepting their “defense” spending levels and neo-imperialist operations: the Russian Bear and Communism, “Humanitarian” efforts (Reagan and Lebanon; Clinton and Somalia; Clinton and Yugoslavia), now “Terrorism” (Bush II and Obama), and soon Iran for Obama.

Radical Islam is a dreadful threat to world peace and our personal well-being. A nuclear Iran  is not acceptable with the present apocalyptic-minded type of government in control there.  Communism by its very internationalist ideology was a threat to be faced.  I am not attempting to make light of these adversaries.  As the Left’s domestic agenda is anathema to America’s traditional constitutional foundations, so also is the fear-mongering of the Internationalist Financier- backed Military Industrial Complex.  Obama and his crowd of Marxists, closet Muslims, and Black Liberation Theologians, cannot wrench free of the wars, increased military spending, and domestic spying, because they like the dirty money and feel of power they get from the MIC.  They are like the Pharisees in Jesus’ day. The Jewish Pharisees turned over the Messiah to the Roman authorities, murdering their potential King and damning their souls, to hold on to the miniscule amount of authority they held within the Roman empire system.

If you love Liberty, understand what America faces from Right and Left, from the Establishment which controls both major parties, and stand ready to defend our Biblical and constitutional values with the soap box, the ballot box, and if need be, the ammo box. Lord, have mercy on America.

MAD: Can It Work On Nations Run By Mad Men?

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Mutually Assured Destruction, or MAD, worked during the Cold War confrontation. While the Soviet Union was ideologically opposed to the United States and Western Europe, the Politburo dictators were not crazy. Soviet Russia developed satellite states across Eastern Europe and maintained them by force.  They aided communist movements from Latin America across Africa, the Middle East, and throughout Asia.  They had a vast arsenal of nuclear weapons, but they never used one. The United States and the Soviet Union understood that if either unleashed a first strike the other would retaliate in a massive response that assured mutual destruction of both civilizations; there would be no winner– only losers.   With time, several western nations acquired nuclear weapons; then India and Pakistan joined the elite club.  Israel most likely has them.

Pat Buchanan wrote last week, “Other countries that rely on nuclear power, Japan and South Korea, surely have the capability to produce an explosive device.  They have preferred life without nuclear weapons.  Will Iran also be content with this, knowing that if it explodes a device, the Saudis, Egyptians and Turks will follow, that Israel would put a hair trigger on its nuclear arsenal, that the United States would retaliate massively against Iran if any nuclear weapon were detonated by Islamic terrorists on American soil?”

Buchanan continues, “The sanctions road appears headed for dead end, or war.  As one steps back and looks at a decade of U.S. intervention and war in the Middle East, what has it all availed us?”  Economic sanctions have not seemed to faze Iran; and the West should remember the educated middle class of the ayatollah-dominated nation. They have not gotten over the tainted elections earlier this year that kept Ahmadinejad in office.  There is nothing like war to unite a country.

While American forces have overthrown Saddam Hussein, “the Shia who now run the country are moving away from us, and closer to Iran”, as we look to draw down our forces there.  Will Iraq remain quasi-democratic and pro-West? Afghanistan, after eight years, remains untamed and fraught with danger.  The Karzai government controls little more than the Kabul area.  Tribal leaders reign in the mountinous country.  The Taliban remain a force to be reckoned with.  If NATO pulls out and allows the Taliban to regain power, it will create a vacuum Al-Quaida will be glad to fill.

Sanctions escalation risks taking the US toward yet another war in the Middle East.  Do we have to play this game again?  Would another MAD policy work with Iran?  Can the mullahs understand blunt language?  Support Iranian pro-reformists and announce a policy of Assured Destruction if the mullahs use nuclear weapons against the West or Israel.  Do not trust the UN to get anything done; but, continue to pressure NATO states to deal with the nukes program.  Allow Israel the opportunity to defend itself without issuing a blank check on a pre-emptive strike.  The US cannot forsake its traditional relationship with Israel.  Can MAD work with a group of fundamentalist Islamic zealots who believe in an end-time prophetic battle  with the infidel West? No choice is easy.
