Hinson graduated from  High Point University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Political Science.  He earned a Master’s Degree in American Civil War Studies from American Military University in 2007.  After six years in insurance sales, Hinson has taught History at the high school level since 2001.  With four years of theology studies and seven years in evangelism, Hinson became pastor of King Community Church in Stokes County in 2005. He and his wife, Pam, make their home in Walkertown, N.C. They have a grown daughter and son.
