Waiting On Us: Third World’s Hand Is Out

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

This week, China, Brazil, India and South Afrika publicly called for the “Developed Countries” to “quickly” begin parcelling out the $10 billion pledged for Climate-Control Aid for poor countries recently at Copenhagen.  The leaders of the Western Capitalist Nations, including President Obama, made the offer at a Climate-Change Summit to help these “poor” countries “deal with the effects of climate change”.  Obama made his contributions to the hot air summit w/o any official treaty.  He has not offered anything to the US Senate in regards to these “pledges”.

Chinese spokesmen said the first funds should go to the least developed countries including small island states and African countries.

Read my earlier post regarding Cap and Trade;  our current president is an internationalist with profound Marxist sympathies.  Cap and Trade, and anything else related to Climate Change measures, are no more than international redistribution schemes.  Self-supporting, democratic, capitalist nations are going rob their tax-paying citizens to dump money into countries with incompetent governments and socialist economies that are historically consistent failures.  There would be an infrastructure to handle the payments from the Producers for Redistribution to the Non-Producers.  The infrastructure would become more powerful with time as it regulates Energy, Banking, and the Business Community on an international scale.

American voters must say, “No Thanks Mr President!!”   We dont want our hard-earned money going to third world countries, most of which despise the West to begin with.  The day must come when the US breaks w/ these internationalist organizations bent on destroying the Constitution and with it our way of life.

“Berkeley Got Its Liberalism”

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

George Will, the deeply intellectual fiscal Conservative, has a great article out today (read it at georgewill@washpost.com).  He dissects the maladies the state of California is facing.  “California, a laboratory of liberalism, is spiraling downward, driven by a huge budget deficit.”

A New Yorker article by Tad Friend is used to expound the impact of Liberalism on the University of California budget system.  The state fiscal mess caused a 20% cut in the UCAL system budget last year; and in-state student fees were raised 32% (to $10,302, which remains 70%below Stanford and other private universities in California).  ”Only 1/6 of normal turnover new faculty have been hired over the last year at UCal Berkeley due to budget cuts.”  The Cal State system, ” a cut below the UC campuses”, will enroll 40,000 fewer students this year for the same reason.

Over the last four decades, Liberals’ “redistributive itch” used an income tax  that sent wealth-creators fleeing from the ‘formerly’ Golden State.   ”During business cycle booms, tax revenues pour in stimulating government spending; during contractions, revenues dwindle but new government spending continues to expand.”  William Voegeli, in the Claremont Review of  Books , writes  “Between 1990 and 2007, 3.4 million more Americans left California than moved into the state…. the state lost 26% of its factory jobs and 35% of its high-tech manufacturing positions.”  “Compassionate liberalism” drew an import of Mexico’s poverty-stricken citizens;  It turned the state into what Voegeli calls a “unionocracy”, run by and for unionized public employees.  The American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees boasts some of the “nation’s most highly compensated” government employees; and why, according to Will, “California’s economy is being suffocated by the weight of government” with “little leftover for” the public universities like Cal Berkeley.

The irony of the budget situation and future fiscal health of the state is that the overwhelming number of pronounced liberal professors in the UCal system will have to live with the ideological consequences they ingrain in their students.  Read for yourself Friend’s accounts of recent radical activities during meetings of 5,000 Berkeley employees and students at rallies last September over the budget shortages.  They would be comical if they weren’t so scary.  Kevin Starr, author of a history of California, warns that California is “on the verge” of becoming “a failed state” as it follows a similar path of radical liberal ideology as New York the only state with a greater “number of outward-bound moving vans”.

ITS WAR, MR PRESIDENT !!!

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

As one who believes the power of the Military Industrial Complex (see Pres. Eisenhower’s Farewell Address) is real, I no longer will argue the merits of the War In Iraq.  Was it neo-imperialism; was it about oil; was it Wilsonian nation-building; or, was it W’s revenge for Saddam’s threats on Poppy???  Who knows??  There is money made in War Financing and Arms Contracts and you have to have an Enemy to have a war. Beyond that, all the above could be true.  But Afghanistan was different, and the recent related actions in the Pakistani border region and Yemen go further to prove that.

September 11, 2001 was a pre-meditated attack on American soil using civilian airliners to strike symbols of  American Business, the Military, and probably the Government.  While admiring much of Dr Ron Paul’s views on the size and scope of Government, these Muslim Extremists did not attack us due to American occupation of  Arab lands as he recently stated.  The US has provided economic and humanitarian aid to Somalia, Yugoslavia, and Indonesia. The US has risked the lives of American military personnel to protect American interests and peace-keeping efforts (some ill-conceived) in Lebanon, Kuwait, the Persian Gulf and Arabian peninsula, Afghanistan, and Iraq.  This Nation has not colonized any of these areas.  The US does not have public plans to permanently occupy any of these regions.  Those are not goals of the American Republic.

Al-Qaeda, Hizbollah, Islamic Jihad, Hamas, and like-minded extremists share a Radical Muslim ideology which is anti-democratic, anti-capitalist, anti-Semitic, and tyrannical– particularly against women.  These groups hate Israel and America as an ally of Israel.  They hate freedom-loving secular society.  They use a warped radicalized version of Islam to recruit jihadists to wage acts of terrorism on Israel, Europe, India, the US, and Muslim countries friendly to these infidel states. After small-scale attacks in the Eighties and Nineties, Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda declared war on the United States with the September 11 Attacks.  The radical Taliban sheltered the terrorist organization in Afghanistan, and so was subsequently toppled in the US invasion.  The Bush administration lost focus before bin Laden and his cohorts were rooted out and exterminated.  His jihadists burrowed deeper into the Pakistani border region. You can argue whether Iraq became a further front in that war, but the terrorists have struck targets in Pakistan, India, and become more heavily involved in Yemen.  The recent terror attack at Ft Hood was perpetrated by a jihadist Muslim US Army major who has ties with a radical mosque in Virginia and an internet imam in Yemen.  Then there was the near-miss Christmas attempt to blow up a civilian plane on a Holland to Detroit flight.  The radical Muslim Nigerian had been trained and equipped in Yemen by al-Qaeda.

All of the Sept.11 hijackers were Muslim Arabs;  The Ft Hood Army Major was a MuslimPalestinian; and the recent Nigerian was a radical Muslim as well.  His own father had warned the US State Dept in Nigeria of his son’s radical bent.  The would-be terrorist bomber 1)bought a one-way ticket; 2) paid cash; and 3) carried no luggage for the trip.  Here were four warnings that should have raised red flags in Nigeria and/or Holland.  These are stateless entities; the perpetrators are clearly religious-motivated guerrilla fighters; but make no mistake, Mr President, this is WAR.  The US Administration must acknowledge this reality and plan its strategies accordingly.

Military tactics from 1950s Korea to 60s-70s Vietnam and 90s-2009 in the Gulf and Afghanistan have been highly successful;  it is the geopolitical strategy level that has suffered. America wins battles but loses conflicts since WWII.  That is not the field soldier’s fault, its the politicians’.  Now, America finds itself in the hands of the most internationalist-minded chief executive in history. More so than Wilson, FDR, Truman, Carter, Bush I, and Clinton.  His Christian back-ground is Black Liberation theology.  His father and step-father were Muslims.  He was raised in Muslim tradition in Indonesia during his formative years.  If these men and CFR-dominated JFK, Nixon, Reagan, and Bush II administrations allowed America to drift geopolitically and economically toward socialistic internationalism, where will this president take the country in four years?  ITS A WAR, MR PRESIDENT; and the objective in war is victory!  Victory is achieved by defeating the enemy through destroying his ability to wage war.  When we wake up to this reality, America can become winners again.
